Spotted...

Usually she's a bit of a hot mess on the red carpet, but last night at the Australians in Film Awards  and Benefit Dinner, Miley Cyrus and her slamming bod looked super sexy in a cut-out LBD by Zimmermann. This is a great look on her... And I'm loving the shorter locks!

Designer Spotlight: HAN

I used to be one of those people who thought menswear was kind of boring, where there was little difference between designers. However after MBFWA, I changed my mind. With the addition of the Men's Show into the week's schedule I witnessed some really cool and innovative pieces for men. Then my mind changed even more when I was introduced to HAN, an organic menswear label. I was totally inspired by his website and story... I really love a good story! The designs are so refined, yet effortless and really wearable, and the fabrics are just incredible. HAN's pieces are timeless, with a on-trend twist and is my new must-have for any man's wardrobe!

The Fashion Patriot sat down with Khim, the founder of HAN to chat about his label, and what sets it apart from other designers. Read the full interview after the jump!

Giuliana Rancic totally worked it in a black Aurelio Costarella dress on E! News last week. She even tweeted the designer to thank him for the dress!

This LBD is on another level, it just oozes elegance, which is obviously Aurelio Costarella in a nutshell.

Glomesh is Back!

The bag is a combination of finest leathers, beautiful 24K gold rich enamel coloured metal mesh adorned with hand polished acrylic and 24K gold plate hardware.

The 'Alice Bag' is Alice's grandson, David Goldberg's brain child, he says of his decision to launch the 'Alice Bag', "she was a wonderful woman... so we felt it was appropriate to relaunch the brand with the 'Alice Bag' prior to introducing the rest of the collection which will follow soon"

I have a vintage glomesh bag, which I just adore! They're absolute classics, and I think it is genius that the company has reworked the line for a relaunch!

One of the things I love about the release of a new movie is all the promo the stars have to do in the lead up. I adore Emma Stone and her style, she's one of my favourites on the red carpet, so I was particularly excited for all the promo for The Amazing Spiderman. Thus far, Emma has absolutely owned the red carpet, and she has continued to do so in Berlin. At The Amazing Spiderman photo call, Emma kept it chic and simple in a Martin Grant creation. The dress is perfect for the occasion and fits Emma beautifully. Gotta love a good LBD!

See! I told you the girls from Modern Family LOVE Collette Dinnigan! Yesterday I showed you Sarah Hyland killing it on the red carpet at the Critics' Choice Television Awards in a champagne coloured dress by the designer... Today it's Ariel Winter looking super cute in a white number by Collette Dinnigan. I love everything about this dress... I am a huge fan of white, pleats and embroidery so this dress is a definite winner in my eyes!

I also love the styling, the soft hair and metallic heel paired with the dress is total perfection! Love!

The girls from Modern Family seem to absolutely love wearing Collette Dinnigan on the red carpet (worn here and here)... I mean who wouldn't? Her stuff is ridiculously stunning and glamorous, you're almost guaranteed to top the best dressed list! 


Sarah Hyland strutted her stuff down the red carpet at the Critics' Choice Television Awards in LA last night in a super flirty and feminine, champagne coloured Collette Dinnigan dress. 


This look is one of Sarah's best I think, and probably one of the best from the night... She looks gorgeous!

Designer Spotlight: Kirsty Irwin

We are so excited to show you the amazing SS12/13 collection from Kirsty Irwin (formally known as Laksmono). This Spring/Summer collection is Kirsty's debut summer range, which monochromatic palette is juxtaposed with pops of lime green. The collection plays with the idea of hard vs. soft with delicate, feminine fabrics and cuts being paired with super lush leather pieces, which are as soft as butter!

I absolutely adore this collection - each piece is has so much thought and detail put into it, yet is totally wearable.

I cannot wait to get my grubby mits on a pair of the lime leather shorts!!!

The always adorable, Cheryl Cole is currently in Paris, checking out the sites and doing promo for her latest album. Last week she was spotted in Ksubi, and last night she was out and about in a tangerine, Dion Lee number.

Look at her body in that dress - seriously banging! You can't put a foot wrong in Dion Lee... She looks ridiculously hot.

Australians in New York Fashion Foundation Cocktail Party

Every year the AINYFF holds a cocktail party to celebrate Australian designers. This year it was held at the Crosby Hotel in New York. Katherine Keating (ex-Prime Miniter, Paul Keating's daughter, who now lives in New York) was in attendance and said of the event, 'there's so much excitement here... I love Australian designers like Josh Goot, Willow, and Ellery. And because none of the brands are big enough for people to be asking and judging what label you're wearing, it's really about the clothes."

I think the matching heels is a little overkill, but I love Cheryl - she's such a doll!

So I don't usually post this type of thing on The Fashion Patriot, but I seriously can't help myself! If you have not watched this video, make sure you do so ASAP.... and if you have watched it, watch it again!

I felt like the biggest goofball sitting in bed watching this with this dumb ear-to-ear smile, thinking to myself 'I will definitely be calling you'. I love a good viral video, and this has got to be my favourite, for obvious reasons...

Kellie Hush, Harper's Bazaar's New Editor!

After last month's shocking news that Vogue Australia's editor, Kirstie Clements had been fired after 13 years at the helm, an announcement of her replacement, Harper's Bazaar editor, Edwina McCann, quickly followed, which left many wondering... Who is going to be the new editor of Harper's Bazaar? 


Well today it was revealed that Kellie Hush, the editor of ACP's weekly fashion and gossip magazine, Grazia, would take McCann's place. 


Kellie previously held the Deputy Fashion Editor position at Harper's for 3 years, and expresses her huge excitement for returning to the mag, "To be returning to a magazine I have loved for so long as editor is an absolute career high... It's a challenging but exciting time for magazines right now and I'm truly looking forward to continuing Harper's Bazaar's position as the fashion authority in Australia."

Harper's Bazaar publisher Robyn Foyster said Kellie "lives and breathes fashion, so it was a natural progression for her to take on the role".


I think Kellie is an inspired choice and I cannot wait to see what she brings to Harper's!

E! News' Giuliana Rancic has been busy repping Aussie designers on the daily celebrity news show! Last week G looked banging in a Camilla & Marc black peplum dress, with pink neon piping. I love this look; the dress fits like a glove, and the neon piping gives the dress the perfect amount of playfulness!

Funny-girl, Kristen Bell co-hosted at last week's CMT awards in Nashville. The blonde beauty made a few costume changes, including this stunning floor length Collette Dinnigan gown. Bell kept her hair and make up perfectly simple to let the elegant beaded cream one-shoulder dress do all the talking - breathtaking!

Jessica Gomes for Mimco

Today, Mimco debuted their new collection, Kaleidoscope Cinematopia, and their new face, the uber sexy, Jessica Gomes. 

The lavish campaign was shot in Palm Springs by James Greer. Mimco's Creative Director, Cathryn Wills styled the shoot with a "nostalgic view in mind, focusing on the glamour of the deco 1920s Charleston era, to the tuxedo days of the ratpack in 1960s Palm Springs.”

This is really a crazy beautiful campaign that is so rich with old Hollywood glamour. Jessica Gomes looks ridiculously stunning, I can barely handle it.... And the styling is so spot on. The whole thing is just faultless!

The collection will be available in July.

Designer Spotlight: Love Obsessed

I am obsessed with Love Obsessed. It was really love at first sight when I spotted the reworked, neon vintage pieces at the PR Department press showings. Love Obsessed is the brain child of Stacy Dill, who's based in the US and sells her lust-worthy pieces online at Etsy.com. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, genuine vintage jewellery that Stacy has found in vintage stores and estate auctions, and then hand painted in incredibly vibrant, neon colours. The result? Unique, statement pieces, which are sure to make everyone in the room remember you.

Zimmermann Resort 2012

Zimmermann has released a steamy 1-minute film that highlights some of its pieces from their Resort 2012 collection. 


This film literally made me feel like putting on a fab Zimmermann cossie and lay around glamourously in a sauna, just like Lydia Collins and Nicole Pollard

Today the MTV Movie Awards were held at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles. All the hottest celebs packed the red carpet, with Russell Brand hosting the event. One of my faves, Emma Stone made an appearance and as per usual tore up the red carpet with an amazing Martin Grant monochrome ensemble. This look is perfect for this event, it has the right amount of fun and elegance. I seriously live for Emma Stone on the red carpet - she hardly ever gets it wrong!

Congrats to Martin Grant, not only is he the designer for the new Qantas uniforms, but he has rocked his MTV Movie Awards' debut!

P.S. how flawless is Emma's hair and make-up? A++
