Two of Australia's favourite designers Josh Goot and Dion Lee have pulled out from this year's MBFWA, which commences April 30.
Both designers have cited that they wish to focus on their upcoming collections, this further emphasises the challenging timing of MBFWA, given its position relative to international production and buying schedules.
Josh Goot confirmed the news by releasing a statement to the press saying, "this is
the right decision for the Josh Goot brand, business and team. We've had
an amazing response to Spring/Summer 2012, and I think that it's
important that we consolidate our position, rather than rush into a new
collection at MBFWA. The entire studio and I want to focus on the new
Resort collection without the distraction of a show."
Even though it is totally understandable... What a shame! I was so looking forward to seeing both of their shows!
