My Alex Perry pick last night - love the sheer tulle, keeps the dress uber-glam and sexy at the same time (and that clutch is amazing!) Her hair and make-up were perfection too... A+!

You can always count on the King of Australian fashion, Alex Perry to bring out the big guns on any red carpet, and last night's Logies were no different... He dressed the likes of Megan Gale, Michelle Bridges, Esther Anderson and Natalie Bassingthwaighte.

I was recently browsing my award season archives, and felt like I had ignored all the amazing jewellery that adorned the necks, ears and wrists of the A-List celebrities sashaying down the red carpet. A name that is synonymous to award season is Chopard, their designs are truly luxurious and decadent!

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia

In just over 2 short weeks Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia will be returning at the Overseas Passenger Terminal in Sydney! I seriously cannot wait! This year's fashion week will be a big huge for The Fashion Patriot as we have already started receiving our save-the-dates, which means I will be able to bring live coverage from some of the biggest runway shows of the year! The week means loads of incredible surprises for my readers, including exclusive interviews and backstage insights - so exciting!

So make sure you all stay tuned, because it is sure to be an unbelievable week, full of drool-worthy fashion!

... Now I just need to plan all my outfits - eeeep!

I have one word for this collection - exquisite! I seriously cannot get enough of this sunglass collection by Dolce & Gabbana that I stumbled upon at Sunglass Hut...  They're seriously perfection!

Taylor Tomasi-Hill for Oroton

My favourite red-head in the whole world, Taylor Tomasi-Hill is styling Oroton's debut show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week!

Oroton's Creative Director, Ana Maria Escobar gave insight into why Tomasi-Hill got the gig, “what drew
us to Taylor is her unrivalled expertise with accessories - and of course her personal style is incredible. We collaborated with Taylor on our previous Spring Summer 2011 campaign and she was amazing to work with. She’ll play an important part in Oroton’s debut at Fashion Week.”

Moda Operandi's Creative Director also showed some love for the Aussie label saying, “I'm very excited to be involved with the Oroton brand for Australian Fashion Week. The overall attitude of the brand is so cool and stylish. Fashion should be accessible and Oroton finds a way to provide elevated taste to an audience that
is financially and sartorially savvy.”

I. Am. So. Excited! This is will definitely be one show I won't want to miss!

Zimmermann take New York!

Last year the Zimmermann sisters opened up shop in LA, and now they're taking over 87 Mercer Street, Soho!

The 1300-square foot shop was designed by Don McQualter, who is responsible for all their stores. The light and airy space is the perfect way to show off the girls' high fashion designs.

I love seeing Aussie designers being able to crack international markets and succeed! On an interesting note, Zimmermann's Soho neighbours include APC, Phillip Lim and Alexander Wang!

If you're in NYC, or planning to visit, make sure you check out the store - it looks like quite the experience!
